Socket Capscrews are A574 High Strength Alloy and have a higher Tensile strength than either Grade 8 or Grade 5 Product.
Standard Socket Heads in the smaller diameters up through 1/2" have a minimum Tensile Strength of 180,000 PSI and diameters over 1/2"have a minimum Tensile Strength of 170,000 PSI.
Flat Socket Heads in the smaller diameters through 1/2" have a minimum Tensile Strength of 145,000 PSI and diameters over 1/2" have a minimum Tensile Strength of 135,000 PSI.
